Officer Position Descriptions:
President - The president of the chapter acts as its chief administrative and executive officer, ensures that the board meets regularly and functions effectively, and that the officers and directors understand and perform their duties adequately.

Administration Team Leader
- The Administration Team Leader is responsible for preparing an annual competition point plan by month, and relating the results of actual to budget at chapter board meetings, reporting to the IMA office the CPE earned by members at the monthly dinner meetings, coordinating the submission of officers' reports to the IMA office, and evaluating credits received for reports submitted and consulting with their assigned regional executive on any discrepancies.

Secretary
- The chapter Secretary maintains records of board meeting attendance, prepares and distributes board minutes.

Treasurer
- The Treasurer prepares the chapter’s annual financial budget, deposits and withdraws chapter funds, presents all bills for approval by the board of directors, pays approved bills by check, prepares a monthly financial report for inclusion with the minutes, and prepares an annual report of chapter receipts and disbursements for submission to the IMA office.

Director of Meetings - The Director of Meetings makes all physical arrangements relating to meetings and chapter gatherings, including educational programs. This includes reserving meeting space, selecting the menu, negotiating the price of meals to be served, and securing all audio-visual or other equipment needed by the speaker(s).

Communications & Community Relations Team Leader - The Team Leader of Communications and Community Relations oversees the Co-Directors of Newsletter, Facebook, Director of Public Relations, Webmaster, Director of Community Service and Director of Student Activities, assisting them in fulfilling their responsibilities, as necessary.

Director of Newsletter - The Director of Newsletter is responsible fro the creation and distribution of the monthly newsletter to chapter members.

Director of Facebook - The Director of Facebook is responsible for posting chapter news to Facebook.

Webmaster - The chapter Webmaster is responsible for setting up and maintaining the chapter website according to IMA guidelines, and for keeping the website current with chapter information and activities.Director of Public Relations - The Director of Public Relations conveys to the business community the existence, purpose, and activities of IMA locally and nationally. The position works with local newspapers and television and radio stations to publicize chapter meetings, professional education sessions, community service projects, and awards.

Director of Community Service - The Director of Community Service presents to the chapter Board suggestions for community service projects. The position also organizes and solicits other members to participate as volunteers in the community service projects selected, provides the Director of Public Relations with releases, and keeps chapter members informed through newsletter and website articles, and announcements at chapter meetings.  This position is responsible for the chapter's Adopt a Highway and organizing an annual clean-up in the fall. 

Director of Student Activities - The Director of Student Activities is responsible for sending e-mails to students and making announcements in classes regarding upcoming meetings, as well as for keeping students informed about the other benefits of membership available to them, such as the Annual Student Leadership Conference.

Director of Membership Acquisition - In order to promote membership in our organization, the Director of Member Acquisition identifies prospective members and provides them with membership kits and additional information regarding the IMA. The Director of Member Acquisition is also responsible for submitting the applications of all new members to the national IMA office, and for welcoming and introducing new or prospective members at chapter meetings.

Director of Retention and Participation - The Director of Membership Retention is responsible for reviewing monthly membership reports and contacting members approaching renewal, to ensure that their dues are paid in a timely manner. Another responsibility of the Director of Membership Retention is to stay informed regarding members whose interest in chapter activities has diminished, and take corrective action. This includes following up with members who have resigned.

Co-Director of Member Attendance - The Co – Directors of Member Attendance collect meeting dues, record attendance, and distribute identification badges to members and guests at meetings.
